I purchased a large Jazzy 1170xl power wheel chair on ebay, but the seller is not able to arrange shipping. I need some idea or ideas about who could go to a residence and pick up this item and ship it. Item would not be palletized or boxed at the pick up site since it is a used chair. Need some suggestions.

How to make a adult sim parent of another adults sim:
In create-a-sim mode make your parents (as they look, and as adults) then make yourself/other siblings as teenagers (it doesn't matter if you look like yourself as teenagers). Then change your teenagers age to adults and make your self look like you (this will be the finished product). Then switch back to teens. Go to the main create-a-sim page and make sure your parents are related to you. (At this point you should have teens and parents). Move your family into a lot. Bring up the cheat console by pressing ctrl c. A box will come up and type in AgeSimsCheat (press enter). Then click on one of your teenage sims and click age-adult. They should turn into the adult that looks just like you. If this aging method doesn't work try this. Bring up the cheat console (ctrl c) and type in: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true . (Don't count the period, I was just ending the sentence). Press shift then click (while still holding shift on your sim). There should be a number of options, but press set to birthday on your teenage sim. Then normally clicking on your sim, it should say grow up or something related to it's birthday. Your sim will now age into the perfect adult you created.

My boyfriend and I are going to visit NYC over Memorial Day Weekend. My boyfriend has cerebral palsy and can't walk very well, therefore he would have to bring either a wheelchair or an electric scooter. Which one would be better? The advantage of the wheelchair is that it can be folded up and taken in a cab. The disadvantage of the wheelchair is that he doesn't have the greatest upper arm strength and I'm afraid I would end up pushing him all over the city. Now the scooter would be ideal for getting around, but it's big and heavy and can't go in a cab so we'd probably be limited to the area around times square where we'll be staying, which is a bummer since he really wants to see the sights.

I would suggest you bring the folding chair so that you can get in and out of cabs when you or he get tired.

Or better yet, book a trip around the city on a Greyhound type company so that he can see all of the sights without either of having to push the chair! There are a lot of companies that do this type of tour in all major cities. You can see all of the major sites and if there's something you want to go back and see in longer duration, you can always catch a cab back there (just remember where it is!).

Yes, you are correct in your observations. Most people become immobile because of obesity, lack of exercise, and then arthritis sets in on the joints.
Scooters I believe should only be used by people who have advanced stages of Lupus, Cancer, MS, and serious diseases.
If those people using them went to physical therapy or did water exercises, they may not need the scooters. In addition to losing weight.
I know, because until I lost weight, I was headed for using them, too!
I was determined I didn't want to become obese and immobile, because I have always been an active person.
And for some reason whenever you go into a store, they always think they have the right of way, and will mow you down if you don't move.
