Documentary on Daniel independently operates a power standing wheelchair and navigates through the shopping mall to find things he like to do. Because he doesn’t have the strength to push a manual wheelchair, his parents taught him to drive the power wheelchair, because no one think he was smart enough and developed enough find/gross motor skills to learn to operate a power wheelchair. This is a big surprise to a lot of people, because without the assistive technology, one can never tell how much he is capable to do on his own. Often, people ask, “can he see?”, “can he hear?”, “can he talk?”, “can he remember?”, “Can he swallow?”, “Can he eat?”, “Can he drink?”, “Can he feel thing?”, “Can he response?”, “Does he understand what you said?”, “Does he know where he is at?”, “is he tried?”, “Is he not feeling good?”, “Is he sick?”, “can we tilt his manual wheelchair to keep his head up so he can see”, “Can he…….?” Now you know!
