Boy racers are always getting the blame, im just wondering if you lot do it under the cover of darkness?
No but I raced my neighbour on one down the street. He is 67 and has two. I challenged him to a race one day and he agreed. The whole street was watching and I two wheeled it sideways when turning to come back. WICKED!!

My neighbour is 92 and uses his to go to our local club where he has a drink and a few games of pool on a Friday night. After a few pints he said he couldn't see the end of his cue! (And no, he's never won a game yet, bless him) I hope I'm like that when I'm 92, LOL!!!

I'm not sure what a 'car park' is, but I'm guessing it's a parking
lot here in the states. Something like that would be against
the law here. But lots of races by kids have been done on
lonely back roads from time to time.
I think it would be fun just to drive a little scooter period. Some I know don't go as fast as others. So I'd want one that
would go faster than five miles an hour I think. I have used the
little scooters at the grocery store. And they are fun to drive
and back up and turn corners without hitting someone in the
aisles. I remember my first try at driving one. It took off with
me holding on for dear life when I started the 'engine'. LOL.
That was one of the most fun times I've ever had. I had to re-
mind myself, I wasn't driving one of those 'bumper cars' at
an entertaiment center for kids at the beach. I finally figured
out, that if I took my hands off the handle bars, the thing would
stop. And 'stop' it did, on a dime LOL. My friend was with me
and together we were laughing so hard it was pitiful. We sure
got alot of attention that day. I've got to do that again one of
these days. I need a real hearty laugh again.

I sure would if I had one. My family always said when I'm in the nursing home I'll be the one coordinating the wheel chair races.
The cutest thing was when they did the play, 'Run Away Bride' at the nursing home I visit. The bride and groom to be were in motorized chairs. When they asked if she takes this man to be her husband, the little lady said, 'NO!' and wheeled right out of there. It was adorable.

I told my 95 year old father that some of the seniors here have scooter races in the parking lot. His eyes lit up and for a minute he believed me until I started laughing. However, some of them, women included, do zip around pretty darn fast.

I don't have a cart but a gentleman I know used to race his at the local university. He has a wheel chair shop and does a little modifying for the people who race out there.
He told me of one university prof who set his own chair up with a 36 volt system and had just a little problem with traction throwing up a rooster tail of dirt and dust high into the air from the cinder track where they were holding the drag races… He is said to have decided he didn't want to try that one again, though he did say that it WAS an exciting ride.
BTW GW: How did your 'Wing stack up against the Harleys in LV? And be truthful, don't just make the Harley riders feel good… I used to ride a 'Wing too.

There are a lot of those in the small town where I live and some can go really fast. They usually enter themselves in the local carnival, and turn out some amazing scooter floats. They are a force to be reckoned with inside the local supermarket, yes they do go inside on them.
